Btw, just to clarify, because I filed this under "characters" when I was writing my first comment, but I especially LOVE how the hero is gay. Pretty much half of my undying love for Pink Panda is because of that. Thank you so much. :)

thank you!!

Yup, we wanted to present a young hero who also has to deal with coming of age as a gay teen. But what's more interesting is that being gay is only one part of Sam's life, not his entire persona. Many times an LGBT person is categorized as "oh that gay guy" or "oh that lesbian lady"....and so on. When their sexuality is only ONE part of their being. Important yes, but not the only thing about them. Sam will exemplify this as his adventures are shown to the world :)

True. And Pink Panda has not fallen into the token/my-only-character-definition-or-motivation-is-my-race/sexuality/gender, etc... pit, which is good, because those characters are too flat and unrealistic (ignoring, as I talk about unrealistic, the giant animal experiment lab under the school), and people often create those types of characters with good intentions of diversity or something, but those intentions won't carry across because people can't connect to a CHARACTER, since their existance is so tied to that one defining trait (be it race, gender, sexual orientation, etc...). Sam's also a comic geek, and excells in music, and is reckless and adventurous; he's not just the gay character, which is good.  Besides being stronger and more interesting from a character and storytelling point of view, there's more to Sam for people to connect to besides his struggles with being gay in a not terribly accepting environment, which is good. Leaving all that aside, though, he is a good character, and I love reading/seeing his adventures. :) Who knows? Superheros are in now, with all the superhero movies coming out and what not, so maybe Pink Panda could get really popular! :) Even if that doesn't happen, I'm still glad that Pink Panda exists, and that you guys shared your creation with the world. It takes a lot of guts to do that, but I really appreciate it! :)

Thank you so much for creating Pink Panda. I just love it so much, so thank you! Your characters, art, dialogue, fun references to other stuff....there's nothing about it that I don't like, except that it isn't better known/appreciated, and that more hasn't come out yet. Keep up the good work! :) I can't wait to see more! :)

omg thank you soooo much for you words!! I can't take ALL the credit though. The writing of the comic, and the dialogues are all the brainchild of my creative partner, Licensetotie.  Thank you for wanting our work to be better known and appreciated. Just knowing that people like YOU love it, is SUCH A HUGE reward though :) And little by little, we're getting a fan base. Maybe one day you'll see a Pink Panda anime or movie! :D

And don't worry, more Pink Panda is DEFINITELY on the way :)

Man I really relate to the main character on the part about being gay. It's not easy though luckily it's been alot eaiser for me to come out than some (much as my parents object and think I'm confused) and I thank my lucky stars for that! It's just a shame I can't flirt with any of the guys at my local college because I don't know how they'll react so I have to settle for eyeballing them...

But as for the comic itself Bowen you are a god among artists I love the way everything is coloured and it almost has an anime-like quality to it which is always a plus in my book!

Plus I got all of the comic book references but then again I AM one...

Also the shoutouts to Kingdom Hearts? Icing on the cake for me and sealed the deal.

thank you so much for your comment and for sharing a little bit about yourself! We (my creative partner and I ) DEFINITELY want readers to identify with one or many of the characters in Pink Panda, so, yaayyyy!!! I'm so glad you did relate to Sam. It sounds like you went/ are going through exactly what Sam (and his real world counterpart) went through!

Thank you for the very kind compliments. It motivates me to keep working and getting better for you guys :)

Yayyy!! a fellow Kingdom Hearts fan!! *hugs you*
